Here we go again.
While more investigation and evidence are needed, as I write this blog (July 20, 2021) the Dixie Fire is raging. Preliminary information shows that Pacific Gas and Electric may be legally responsible for starting the fire.The information to date is as follows:
- On or around July 13, 2021 a PG&E system outage was indicated near Cresta Dam off Highway 70.
- The PG&E lineman who responded observed what appeared to be a blown fuse on the PG&E Bucks Creek 1101 12kV Over Head Distribution Circuit.
- A tree was noted to be leaning into the electrical conductor and a fire observed near the base of the tree.
If PG&E is responsible for starting the fire, then anybody affected by the fire could be entitled to recover for loss of property, personal injury and emotional distress or other damages.
At this time the Law Office of Adam Sorrells is investigating and accepting clients who have been affected by the Dixie Fire.
